Why the region matters
It is the reason the option sells: with other regional settings the game either cannot be bought or comes at a different price with restrictions. The region on the account is stated in the description and does not need changing.
How this differs from buying a key
A key is the right to activate the game on your own account, and that is exactly where the region gets in the way: a foreign key will not be accepted, and switching the region on a profile that already has purchases is its own story with lost access. A ready account skips the activation step: the game is installed and the region is already right.
The honest flip side: you are not playing on your own profile. For one specific game that rarely matters, but there is no point moving your main library there.
What to check before the first launch
Sign out of your own Steam account and close the EA client — two running clients conflict at sign-in and produce an error that is easy to mistake for a broken account. Then log in with the details you were given, wait for EA to sync and run the game once through to the end of loading: that is enough to know everything is fine.
Do that check straight away, while the warranty runs — one hour from activation. Do not change the email or password on a purchased account: that voids the replacement.
